Hope into Action has been highly commended within the Unlocking Housing Supply category in this year’s Homeless Link Awards.

This category recognises organisations that are successfully increasing access to appropriate housing for individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Jon Kuhrt, CEO Hope into Action said: “With over 120 entries, we are delighted to be recognised for our impact in the sector.  Our work at Hope into Action is based around working with churches to end homelessness. To be recognised as an organisation that is successfully increasing access to appropriate housing for individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness is fantastic news. It is testament to the hard work of the Hope into Action teams across the UK.”

Rick Henderson, Chief Executive of Homeless Link, said: “Homeless Link’s annual awards highlight the pioneering and impactful work happening countrywide to ensure that everyone has a place to call home and the support to keep it. At a time when organisations are helping growing numbers of people with increasingly complex needs, while under significant financial pressure, it is vital to recognise their exceptional efforts and raise their profile.

“Hope into Action is providing crucial support and opportunities to people experiencing homelessness, combining safe, stable accommodation with ongoing relational support, addressing the underlying challenges that often lead to homelessness and helping tenants rebuild their lives. We congratulate them on receiving this award.”

In the last year, Hope into Action housed over 500 people for the first time, in 134 homes, across 37 UK locations.
