About the role:

If you have a passion for administration, addressing homelessness, and the church, you may be the ideal candidate for the role of Hope into Action Norwich Operations and Office Administrator. This position, within a vibrant and expanding organisation, focuses on the operational management and administration of the Norwich project. You will assist the team and partner churches to work with those that may be vulnerable to or have experienced homelessness.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
• The operations and administration around keeping our properties well maintained and to an excellent standard.
• Supporting the team in tenant pathways and tenant finance
• Coordination of the Norwich office
• Working with external contractors, companies, and organisations.

About you:

For this role, we are looking for a highly organised and passionate individual. You will have a heart for vulnerable people and a desire to see holistic change for our tenants. The key areas of this role are providing administrative support to the Norwich team and managing the maintenance of thirteen houses. It’s important to us that our houses are well maintained and are of an excellent standard. Good organisational skills, the ability to prioritise a varied workload, and a desire to have streamlined work processes and systems are essential characteristics. As a key role within Hope into Action the post holder must demonstrate their
sympathy with the Christian faith and the mission and values of the organisation. It is a requirement of the role that you have a basic level DBS check. The team and wider network are at the heart of who we are and how we work. You will want to be an integral part of the team and the wider HiA network.

About us:

In Norwich we are at the forefront of providing excellent quality supported accommodation to those that need it most in our county. We currently have thirteen properties in Norwich and surrounding towns. Across the network we provide not just shelter and housing know-how, but also the friendship of a church. Together with over 100 churches, we provide direct support to people whom others have often given up on. Our first home had a real heart for men coming out of prison. Homes are now available for a wide range of people experiencing homelessness: people in recovery from addiction, people sleeping rough, women and children fleeing domestic violence, people coming out of rehab, refugees, those suffering mental health issues and survivors of human trafficking. We are now partnering with churches across the country. We encourage others to use our model by franchising the idea. Our vision is for every church to lovingly provide the homeless with a home. The tragedy of homelessness is in every community. We believe that with our help, every church can do something about it.
