Hope into Action's work involves dealing with a lot of challenging issues as we battle against homelessness. Therefore, its great to celebrate good news!

As a Network we regularly share emails titled Stop Praise when there is something we want to give thanks for. And once a week, our daily prayer time is especially focussed on giving thanks.

There is great news shared when a tenant achieves a great move-on or gets a new job. And there is great news for the whole Network, such as when we recently got shortlisted for a Homeless Link award for 'Excellence in Supported Housing'.

Or another example is when recently two of our tenants committed to being baptised. These are moments of real joy which are shared across the whole Hope into Action family.

It is this blend of professional excellence and spiritual passion which most illustrates the vision of Hope into Action. It's a vision which is right at the heart of our new 3 year strategy.

And this week we even more cause for celebration as Ed Walker received his MBE for service to address homelessness.

"It's a tremendous honour and I think in particular of all those men and women I have worked with who have been through the streets, pulled themselves out through the poverty of homelessness. And also my colleagues and teams I've worked with for many, many years, and the huge sacrifice they have put into Hope into Action. They deserve this as much as I do.

The Prince's own special interest in this is really encouraging to those working on the frontline every single day. It's not easy to work in this field but it's even harder to be homeless, and lets hope this can shine the spotlight on homelessness, encourage initiative, business and churches more into this space in a really holistic way. This would be great news!"

It was great that Ed received his honour from Prince William, who this week has made his concern for homelessness so clear. Earlier this week, the Prince visited Hope into Action's franchise partner, Faithworks in Bournemouth, as he launched his Homeward initiative. He is pictured talking with Alistair Doxat-Purser.

So we have much to celebrate because of God's generosity to us. Our work is not easy but moments like this are reminders of God's blessing.

And this is the work that you are enabling us to do through your generous support to us. We hope you feel blessed by knowing that your support is making such a difference in the lives of people who so need it.

Thank you and God bless,

Jon Kuhrt
