About the role

We are looking for a motivated and committed individual to join the Peterborough team for 24 hours a week as an Operations and Maintenance Administrator.

Since our first house was opened in Peterborough in 2010 our housing stock has grown to 17 houses in Peterborough with a potential for more growth. You will be responsible for the oversight and care of these properties, whether it be getting a house ready for tenants or overseeing the ongoing maintenance of a property through regular monitoring and reporting.

Whilst there is an administrative element to the role, there is also a practical element where you will be able to complete minor repairs in the property, paint a wall or two, remove garden waste and other small items when needed. You will be responsible for organising larger works to properties keeping in mind and having oversight of the budget of that property. You will be working with the Peterborough Empowerment Worker Team and the wider Operations Team.

As an Operations and Maintenance Administrator, you will also be liaising with our tenants with regard to house maintenance and inducting new tenants to the equipment in their home.

About you

You will be a highly motivated and organized individual who has a desire and commitment to see our properties be of a high standard reflecting our care for our tenants. You will have an ability to work with tenants with support needs, including poor mental health, past offending, and drug and alcohol dependency issues. You will need to be someone who can combine working within a team whilst demonstrating initiative and being able to work independently as parts of the role will require that. You will have an appreciation and understanding of reporting systems and processes alongside an ability to carry out practical work.

Please note that the hours for this role will increase as our housing stock increases and therefore we are interested in someone who can increase their hours of work to accommodate this.
